Backend Developer – Newcastle upon Tyne – up to £45K DOE
A national technology start up based in the city of Newcastle are actively looking to hire an experienced Backend Developer to join at a period of significant growth. This role will work with ground-breaking technologies in an environment that encourages outstanding personal / professional growth.
Our client are a bespoke tech consultancy business who’s solutions have been implemented by some of the UK’s largest organisations. Following years of organic growth, there are lofty strategic goals which include enhancing the product service offering and building the already well experienced technical team.
The Backend Developer will be responsible for:
- Contributing to the development of new technology
- Leading on the architecture and build of the platform
- Design and implement secure / scalable architectural solutions
- Manage backend systems to resolve issues
- Working with clients on technical requirements
- Liaise with third party suppliers
- Ad hoc support / mentoring junior team members
In order to apply for this role, we are looking for the following experience:
- Strong Python and Django experience
- REST API Framework
- Experience with relational NoSQL Databases
- Strong DevOps skillset

This role is based from a city centre (NE1) office, so the successful applicant must be able to commute to Newcastle on a daily basis.
