An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Accountant to join our clients Finance Team.

As a dedicated Accountant you will be an integral part of achieving this, while always striving to keep their customers’ power flowing. As the Accountant-Operations you will assist the Finance Manager – Operations in partnering, supporting, and providing Insightful performance reporting and analysis for the business, allowing them to be accountable for their financial performance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will:

  • Providing support for the production of project plans, forecasts and post investment appraisals
  • Undertaking analysis to identify risks and opportunities for operational and capital expenditure
  • Creation and reporting of Management Information packs to the senior leadership team
  • Production of monthly reporting and variance analysis, covering Opex and Capex
  • Production of ad hoc reporting on a timely basis and embed as standard reporting if required
  • Ensure a high level of communication with senior managers within both the wider finance teams and the business to gain trust and address issues quickly with clear actions to resolve

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Strong IT skills (Excel, Word, Visio, MS Project, and Power Point)
  • Excellent planning, organization, prioritization, and attention to detail skills
  • Time management and delivery of tasks to deadlines
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to cross collaborate working with senior managers
  • Strong team player with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines

 

Qualifications and Attributes

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified accountant
  • Experience of working in a finance department

 

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • An undergraduate honours degree
  • Experience gained within similar industry is preferred
