An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic person to join our clients finance team to bring modelling and business analysis skills to help perform a range of analysis on a variety of business development opportunities that will influence key Executive-level decision making.

You will be an integral part of the evaluation team that will be responsible for assessing a range of business opportunities and support several key business planning activities. That team is tasked with co-ordinating and consolidating inputs from across the business to ensure our assessment is efficiently, accurately, and successfully delivered to challenging timelines to high-quality standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for;

  • Developing and operating key financial models that analyse a range of business opportunities
  • Developing and operating key financial models that support the business planning processes
  • Quality assurance and validation of the content of the financial models ensuring responsive, high-quality and accurate outputs
  • Upholding internal quality standards, setting an example and holding internal stakeholders to account for the delivery of high-quality analysis and improving the standard of financial modelling within the business
  • Providing support and guidance (where appropriate); escalating issues for resolution (where required)
  • Engagement and influence at a working level with subject matter experts across the business and being comfortable operating closely with Executives

 

Key Competencies

 

  • Highly numerate with strong analytical skills – able to analyse and interpret performance data, form logical conclusion and ask critical questions of the information
  • Financially literate – able to interpret and appraise financial information
  • Highly IT literate, well versed in Excel and Word – fluent in Microsoft Office, able to compile documents that seamlessly combine numbers and words
  • Rigorous attention to detail – able to spot inconsistencies in data, and deliver final quality-assured analysis
  • Work effectively under time pressure – able to manage, co-ordinate and drive at pace the production of key deliverables, often under time-constrained conditions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – able to work comfortably with both Executive as well as colleagues at all levels across in the organisation
  • High standard of professionalism – takes ownership and sets and maintains standards. Able to present information in a manner suitable for an Executive audience. Can be trusted to handle highly sensitive information
  • Excellent planning, organisation and time management skills – displays a sense of urgency, is able to work at pace, prioritise and deliver outputs with minimal supervision
  • Sound judgement & decision making – is proactive, works on own initiative and anticipates requirements

 

Qualifications & Attributes

 

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified to degree level (or equivalent) (preferably in a numeric or business discipline)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills – Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel and Word
  • Financial/Numerical Report Production
